Bedtime stories in the city of dream
Bedtime Stories in the City of Dreams documents my personal journey living in a working women's hostel in Mumbai, where I photographed the lives of young women from smaller cities and towns who come to the city in search of better opportunities. As I resided alongside them, I noticed ambition in every eye, the hopes they carried as they navigated the bustling, anonymous city. Their rented beds became the only space they could truly call their own, where stories, laughter, struggles, and aspirations were shared after long work hours. Through my lens, I photographed these quiet, intimate moments, showcasing the unspoken bonds they formed as they chased their dreams, united in determination despite being far from home.
