This project explores the intimate lives of young women from modest backgrounds who arrive in Mumbai, the city of dreams, in search of better opportunities. Living in a working women’s hostel, they navigate the vastness and anonymity of the city while finding solace in the only space they can truly call their own—a rented bed.

In the hustle and challenges of city life, these beds become sanctuaries, where stories, dreams, and hopes are shared after long work hours. It is within these walls that they build a sense of community, standing as pillars of support for each other, forging bonds that transcend their circumstances. The images capture the quiet moments of shared laughter, struggles, and aspirations, offering a glimpse into the unspoken connections these women create as they chase their dreams, far from home, yet together in spirit.
