Shraddha is a lens-based artist and educator of Indian origin, currently working in London, UK. She holds an MA in Photography from Middlesex University, London. She began her career as a photojournalist, documenting stories through images, before transitioning into teaching, where she finds fulfilment in both guiding and learning from emerging practitioners while developing new conceptual frameworks.
In her practice, she seeks to find solutions through her investigations, establishing correlations between natural philosophies, the digital cosmos, and nature. Her work translates her visual experiences into research-oriented practices, blending cognition with contemporary photography practice. Shraddha’s work has been exhibited and published both internationally and nationally. She has received commissions from various publications such as National Geographic Traveler, Little Black Book, Homegrown Magazine, and others.
Contributing to the field of photography studies and engaging critical thinkers, she is also developing visual teaching methodologies. She initiated a community called "Ursa Major," which strives to introduce visual learning methods in government schools in India and connects students with special needs, bridging the gap between the mind and visual perception.
